Beautiful, but writing surface is problematic

"These thank you cards are lovely. However, the writing surface on the inside of the card is extremely grainy/bumpy. So, my actual handwritten note appears a bit jagged and bumpy. These would be perfect if the paper could be made smooth. I did not realize these would not be printed on smooth paper. I don't know that this was made clear in the product description. If not, it should be."
