Watch out for postage in Europe

"We were very happy to find out that tinyprints.com gives the opportunity to order their fantastic cards and have them shipped in Europe. We ordered a couple of cards but now, with the latest xmas cards, we made a very unpleasant experience: the cards size exceeds european postage and size standards by 0.7cm (7mm) which seems nothing but makes a huge difference in postage. I.e. a card to the US normally would be €1.70 but with the size being too large, the postage was €6.0! Sending 30 cards to the US totals in 180€ (US$ 270) instead of €51 (US$76).
I know that of course it would have been our responsibility to check in advance but I thought I write this review for all the european buyers: make sure to check the postage ahead of the purchase! Or maybe to tinyprints.com: maybe you can make the cards smaller by this very little bit!"

Unfortunately we cannot change the size of these envelopes. The #10 size used for these cards is the most common envelope size in the US.
We have had one other report on this issue from another customer also in Germany, but no other complaints from European customers. We are looking into ways to add messaging to order confirmations to alert German customers of the issue.
