"I ordered these birth annoucements a few weeks ago and loved the varius photo layouts and designs that were available. The cards came today and I was suprised on how nice they turned out. I did wish that they were on the glossy finish to make them more photo like, but the matte finish is okay too. I am also like the previous customers and assumed that it was going to be printed on glossy paper. Guess have to check the fine print. Other than that, the cards are wonderful!"

Sad to be Disappointed

"After being impressed with the site's ease of use and multitude of terrific card design options, I was eagerly awaiting the arrival of my TinyPrints order only to be disappointed upon opening the package and seeing that my 1st child's birth announcements were printed on a matte paper. I had never considered questioning whether the final product would be anything OTHER than printed on a nice, thick, glossy paper for several reasons: 1) the high cost of the final product (justified in my mind by the terrific website interface); 2) it was not stated anywhere that the paper would be matte (I did notice Tiny Prints' response to another review that all their products are printed on matte paper, but only AFTER receiving my prints and checking the website to see if I missed this info on the product description); and 3) every birth announcement I ever received was printed on glossy paper, making the photos POP and the end product look professionally printed. Unfortunately I do not have the budget to order a replacement announcement from another vendor, otherwise I would take that route... I wonder if Tiny Prints will reprint my order on glossy paper as a gesture of good business..."

We're very sorry for the disappointment this customer experienced with her order. The Dotted Grid design is printed on 110 lb recycled card stock and features a matte finish. This information can be found on the product details page on the right side below the quantity drop down menu. You can also click on the question mark to the left of the description for more detailed information about the stock.

"It was unclear to me that this card would have a dull matte finish to it. It would have been a much better and stunning card if it was glossy. Matte paper does not do justice to color photos. If I would have known it was matte, I would have chosen black and white pictures.
Otherwise paper quality was good and design was pleasing on the eye.
In the future, I'll send an email asking the paper type before placing an order."

really cool, unique birth announcements

"my husband and i aren't into pastel colors or baby-ish designs, so this was the perfect card for us. we used black, white and red images of our son and modified the text a bit and voila! a hip, modern and stylish birth announcement. i was quite impressed with the card stock, very high quality and the images (taken by a professional photographer) turned out beautifully. we have gotten rave reviews on the card - everyone is quite impressed we found a card to match our personalities instead of going with a typical announcement. totally worth the money."

We're sorry this customer was disappointed. All of our birth announcements are printed on our Signature 110 lb. smooth matte cardstock for a softer look for your photo instead of the harder look of thin photo paper.

"What I liked most about Tiny Prints was that I could insert my pictures into the announcement on their website which allowed me instant gratification. Other stationary sites required you to email them your pictures and place an order first before you see the final product - not very convenient. Thank you for a great product which helped us introduce our son to our family!"

"So quick and easy for a new breastfeeding mom to make a beautiful birth announcements. Love the lowercase style. Great cardstock and photo quality. They really made a big hit with the multiple photos. And I really like the smaller square size. Very cute! We loved them!"
